Job Description:
We are looking for an organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator to handle various aspects of shipment automation, container calculation, and process improvement. The successful candidate will display strong analytical skills to help manage, track and coordinate thousands of shipments, optimize logistics processes, and improve overall efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track the movement of goods and automate the shipment processing using relevant software.
- Calculate and budget the number of containers needed based on units.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimize logistics procedures, with a focus on automation of manual tasks.
- Build out comprehensive reports using Excel and SQL queries, covering areas such as costs and rates.
- Perform data analysis, data consolidation, and create detailed reports for decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members to maintain seamless operations.
- Train and learn new reporting tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in logistics coordination, ideally in fields such as manufacturing, retail, inventory, and wholesale necessary.
- Proficient in Excel and SQL for generating reports and data processing. Knowledge of Crystal Reporting, Tableau, and PowerBI is a plus but not required.
- Strong knowledge of database queries and pivot tables.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to automate processes.
- Outstanding communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into understandable reports.
- Strong work ethic, self-starter, ability to work independently.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
